Founded in 1998 by Dr. Sue Johnson and her colleagues in Ottawa, Canada, the Centre provides educational and training programmes for mental health professionals — externships, workshops, core skills and advanced trainings — certifies EFT therapists worldwide, and carries out clinical research internationally. ICEEFT works closely with affiliated EFT centres and communities.
The International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy exists to advance research in EFT, to promote training of high quality, and to serve as a resource for couples, families and therapists.
ICEEFT is among the fastest growing professional therapy associations in the world, with members across every continent and the largest concentrations in the United States and Canada.
EFT Italia Community is the affiliated Italian community, and its trainers are certified by ICEEFT.
